How big a HD-GX620
I have a Optiplex GX620. I updated the BIOS to the highest I can A11. How big of a HD can I put in the computer? Can I do a 2TB???

2TB works fine But 3TB does not.

Hi Babbies,
The largest drive validated on that system was 500GB, but a larger drive should be possible. Keep in mind that not all newer SATA drives are backward compatible with SATA 3 Gb/s, which is what you have in there.

Thank you for the quick reply. Is there anything in the specs on the new HDs that will tell me if they are 3 Gb/s. Do you have any recommendations on drives? Thanks again for your help.

Any drive will specify the SATA standard. I have no favorite brand. They're all about the same.
