Hynix Firmware update for Windows only
I have a Latitude E7250 notebook that came preinstalled with Ubuntu 14.04. I have checked the recommended updates and the SK Hynix solid state drive update version 20002L00s, A02 is for Windows only. I thought Ubuntu was supported on this platform, is there no other way to install this update?

Yes, Ubuntu is supported. You'll see it listed under "Looking for a different OS?" The update should work fine on any OS supported by that laptop. As always, perform a system backup before updating, and follow the installation instructions carefully.

I have contacted support and now there is a bootable image for this update that I could apply:
