Inspiron 17R SE 7720 optical drive keeps ejecting a wide variety of media, will not write
Was trying to create recovery disks for my new Inspiron -- also was trying to
run System Check for the optical drive -- and it keeps ejecting whatever media
I try, most recently DVD-R.

Hi Heraud,
If the drive will not accept any media, my guess is that it's defective. Contact Dell for a replacement.
