Inspiron Desktop 530 Sata Driver for Vista

Hi,

(sorry for my english...)

My computer is Inspiron Desktop with Vista 32 Bits.
I've formated my hdd : Seagate Barracuda 7200.10.
I try to reinstall Windows Vista but my HDD isnt detected. I need the sata driver of my mainboard (Dell 0K215C). (and I lost my Dell Cds)

I looked in Drivers & Downloads for Inspiron 530 (Vista 32) on Dell website but i don't found.

Can you help me please?

Thanks...

The problem is not the hard drive, it's the SATA host adapter integrated in the mainboard.

If it it were me, I'd use a third party SATA adapter to get around this problem to the point where I can install Intel's latest  chipset driver package. Or better yet, install Windows 7, which will have the requisite driver on the disc.

You need to use the SATA drivers:

R154092
R203483

Follow my A Clean Install of Windows Vista for full instructions. Pay attention to extrecting the SATA drivers with 7zip and having them available during your installation. It is usually the Intel ones you need (which I have listed above). Loading them will come in step 8 but its best you go through the whole guide.
