Latitude D610 Upgrade: HDD, processor and RAM

Hello from Germany,

i hope u can help:

1) What maximal HDD capacity does the D610 can handle? Dells says only 100 Gig. What happents, if i install a 160 gig HDD. It will properly function?

2) Actually i am using a intel pentium m 740 Processor (1,73). Does i can upgrade to a intel pentium m770 (2,13 GHz)?

3) How much RAM does the D610 supports? I heard, that the maximum woud be 2 gig. Can i use 2x2 gb RAM-S0-DIMM DDR2 667 Modules, also the d610 would use only 2 of the 4 gig?

I would be very happy getting helpful answers.

Best regards,
Giuli

120G will work. Larger won't, at least not natively.

Yes.

The system has a 2G RAM limit.

You can put as big of a drive as you want in the d610 I put a 250gb and had no issues, the cpu is max. 2.13 and the ram is 2 X 1gb PC5300 or pc6400
