Malfunctioning door on CD/DVD Drive

I have a brand new XPS 435 MT computer.  Right now, I've been using the CD drive to make a various assortment of music CDs for my hospice patients.  The door on the drive does not completely close, but gets stuck on the disc tray each time I try to close it.  Plus, I find it difficult to even hit the close/eject button as it is partially hidden by the door when open.  The there are other times when I insert a disk only to find my computer making a loud whirring noise.  When I tried the eject button, it would not open until I gently picked at it.  Does anyone else have this problem with a new Dell?  Is this a problem inherent in new Dells.  If so, I'm not sure a replacement will be much better.  Please help me out here.

As this is a brand new computer, you should contact Dell's Technical Support, about the problem.
