Max Hard drive size for Precision 390

Hello, I'm looking to add a second drive to my Precision 390.

Going over the specs for the Precision 390 I came across the following:

SATA 3.0Gb/s 7200RPM with 16MB DataBurst CacheTM  up to 750GB

What will happen if I add a 1TB drive with 32MB buffer? Will only 750GB be available?

Or perhaps the specs were written before those were available?

The one I'm looking at right now is a Western Digital WD10000LSRTL,  7200rpm, SATA 3GBs

Thanks in advance.

Most (nearly all) SATA controller have no limit to the disk size they can support.

If you're adding the 1TB, you may need to enable the SATA port in the bios, but after that you can boot into the OS, partition and format the disk (assign a drive letter (Windows) or mount point (Linux)) and then use it.
