Hi Skatermay,

Normally Dell has spare rails located on the inside panel of the case, double check.

I did at one time have the parts phone numbers, but it must be at home:

Merry Christmas!

God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do and the eyesight to tell the
difference.

Skatermay,

I am fairly sure I have the contact number at home but I am currently at work. If someone does not jump in and post it in the next hour or so. I will get back with you tonight.

Merry Christmas !

Jeff

The number I have to order spare parts from Dell is 800-372-3355.  Have your service tag number handy.

That number worked great and I got ahold of them pretty quick but the peices was kinda high for such a simple peice but i was wondering if I got a CD/DVD drive from dell would it come with that green peice that goes on both sides of the drive?

No, the green slide will not come with a drive.  The slides are part of the computer.

May I ask how much they want for them?

4.95 per side, after tax and shipping it came out to be almost 20$

$4.95 is not bad, but the killer is always that tax and shipping.
I am still surprised there were no spare rails inside the system.
They usually always ship with them.

Im guessing the reason was because I had a DVD/RW drive and it did just about everything untill it messed up..
