Roxio not launching
Hi,
I had my hard drives replaced by a Dell engineer and ever since then I have NOT been able to launch Roxio Premier 10 Blu ray. I have carried out Clean Installs using Windows Install Clean up and I have followed Roxio uninstall instructions but it's driving me MAD :emotion-12:
Dell support say it's not a hardware problem so I'm really stuck and need help.
System: Dell Studio XPS, Vista 64
Thanks,
(sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum!)

Hi, Pinal:
Have you tried completely uninstalling the application and then reinstalling it from the installation CD? By the way, Roxio has their own forums. You might find better advice if you tried over there.

Hi Osprey4,
Yes I spent almost 2 days between advice from the Roxio Forum and reinstallations without any success. I was hoping (well actually pleading) for a Dell person to help here as they must have come across these situations when building customer systems.
Also, the Dell supplied Roxio CD is not a full version of the software.
Cheers.

My guess is that something is preventing the program from installing properly. You might try disconnecting from the internet and disabling your security software while installing the program.
Other than that, I'm a bit short on ideas. Have you posted in the software forums?

Hey, pinal: Just to let you know that I just received my Studio XPS 435MT and have exactly the same problem. After installing the software it will not open. Have you had any success in getting it to work? Thanks,

Hey jet.blast: After a break of over 4 months I tried another clean install. Still, the program will not launch. Back in April I checked with Roxio and they say the version from Dell is special for them so they do not provide support for it. According to others on this forum, Dell does not provide support for it either. Wish they didn't even say they provide software for the BluRay drive I purchased. Feels to me like we're stuck with an product that doesn't work and no support.

Hey, I phoned the dell software support. They said they have a solution for this problem but wanted money to fix it. I am not willing to pay since I purchased obviously incompatible software from dell. In my opinion it is up to them to sort this out.
