SSD 16GB failed in my Dell Mini 9?
Hi,
my Dell Mini 9 lost its Operational System (Ubuntu). After 72h trying to fix it I notice that almost sure my SSD stops working and is the cause of the failure...
In my Bios I can see
Fixed HDD: STEC PATA 16GB - (PM)
HDD Size: 0MB
Am I right? Is it common to have this problem with Dell's SSD?
My warranty ended last mars...!!!
So I opened it and check SSD. It is in its place... I removed it and put it again in its place. No luck.
Any help?

Since it's not reasonable to expect Dell forum members to provide "tech support" for this issue on an on-going basis, I'm going to recommend that everyone who needs help contact STEC support directly for help with your STEC solid state drive.
Please do not post further requests.

I can email you a utility that STEC emailed me that updated the firmware and restored my 16Gb...

Please send me and email at <ADMIN NOTE:Email id removed per privacy policy> and I'll email you the STEC Utility... It worked for me.. No Guarantee it will work... But, I'll send it to whomever needs it...
