Is Samsung M.2 860 EVO 500gb ssd compatible with Dell Inspiron 15 5577?
If yes could you let me know which interface/adapter and program I need in to clone my existing Sandisk M.2 X400 128GB ssd onto the Samsung M.2 860 EVO 500gb ssd.
Thanks

The Inspiron 15-5577 Inspiron 15 5000 Gaming Setup and Specifications PDF;
page 14 = One M.2 slot for SSD card
page 15 =
Solid-state drive (SSD) One M.2 drive (SATA or PCIe/NVMe)
Hard drive Up to 1 TB hard drive + up to 128 GB SSD
SSD Up to 512 GB (PCIe SSD)
Based on all of that, the system can use a 512 GB PCIe/NVMe SSD. But to your question, the Samsung M.2 860 EVO 500GB SSD was not tested by Dell. Validated 512GB PCIe SSD =
68V6F Samsung PM961 PCIe34, M.2, 22mm/80mm/2.38mm, NVMe
7VPP2 Toshiba XG4 PCIe34, M.2, 22mm/80mm/2.38mm, NVMe
2345G Liteon CX2A PCIe34, M.2, 22mm/80mm/2.38mm, NVMe
94XPK Sandisk Corp A400 PCIe34, M.2, 22mm/80mm/2.38mm, NVMe
Cloning software? No idea. Other users will need to discuss what software they have tried.

If the SanDisk M.2 SSD works fine on your PC, the Samsung M.2 SSD should, too. You should aware of that you need to switch SATA mode to M.2 mode so your PC can detect it successfully.
To clone from one disk to the other in laptop, you need to prepare SATA-to-USB cable or external hard drive enclosure. To ensure the cloning process carry on smoothly, the last tool is recommended.
As to the cloning software, there are many choices on the market. I cloned my hard drive to SSD once with free cloning software. This is the post I followed before: replace hard drive with Samsung SSD.
Hope that is helpful.

Hi, can i use a 512gb nvme ssd along with a 1TB sata drive at the same time? The 1 TB drive came with the laptop, i wanted to add a samsung 960 evo 512 gb to it.
I am particularly doubtful i the below section where it says 1tb +125gb ssd
Up to 512 GB (PCIe SSD)

I have a doubt that will dell inspiron 15 5577 will support 256gb m.2 pcie/nvme ssd + 1tb hdd.
Because in manual it says that 1tb hdd + 128gb ssd.
So, Can i run above configuration of 256gb ssd + 1tb hdd?
