This may be a silly question.

I posted before about installing a SSD. The SSD has been setting here, but eye surgery has slowed the installation up a week or so. When I do the migration, does it matter if my external hard drive, printers joystick and things like that are left plugged in or should I disconnect them first until after everything is put on the SSD drive or does it really matter? Sorry if that is a stupid question, but I have had a lot of time to think about the whole thing and want to make sure I get it right the first time. Thanks.

Disconnect all the external devices and then install the SSD and also the Operating System. The reason is when there is an External device connected there are many chances that OS might be installed in External device.

Thank you. I will disconnect everything before installing the SSD and migrating the OS, then plug everything back in.
