dvd

I have a Dell XPS 200.  I can not record onto a dvd disc. The computer only plays a dvd disc and doesn't recognize a blank one and will not download onto
the blank disc, ( it always read ,no free space) My question is, Can this system record onto a DVD? If no, Do I have to buy another system, or is there something I can do to this system.

An option, since there is no internal drive available is to buy a USB connected CD/DVD burner drive.  You don't have to buy a new PC to burn DVD's.

HERE is an example of an external CD/DVD burner drive.

I don't believe there's a compatible Dell DVD/RW available for the XPS 200, if you want burn DVD's you will need to buy a new PC, best not to buy the so-called slimline versions, as they are not very upgradable, better to buy a standard tower system.
