latitude c840
I just obtained a used latitude c840. I want to replace the front bay floppy drive with something more useful.... like a dvd rom or something...any suggestions for what is compatible?

Hi Third_Gunk,
That front bay can be populated with a DVD drive, zip drive, or even a hard drive. So, yes, you could absolutely put a DVD-ROM in there. Any of the Latitude C series swapable bay drives will work, such as this one.
