Device Mapping in ECC vs. CLI
I am trying to get some devices mapped in ECC and am continualy getting an "unable to obtain resources" error. Is there and easier way to do this via CLI? If so, what is the command syntax?
Thanks,

Yes. It's A DMX-3. The Primus (emc203344) is not real clear on the syntax.

I'm still not very good with the CLI for symmconfigure. Can you tell me where I'm wrong on this syntax?

Yeah, I was searching the 7.3 Command reference (we are at 7.3.0) for mapping a device and came accross the following:
Mapping a device to an address, or a range of devices to consecutive addresses specifying a starting address:
map dev [: ]
to dir : ,
[starting] [target= ,] lun=
[, vbus= ]
[, awwn= | wwn= | iscsi= |
aiscsi= ]
[, masking [host_lun= | dynamic_lun] ]
[, emulation=CELERRA_FBA];

Hi,
There is no guarantee that the configuration will succeed from SYMCLI. The resources error that you saw in ControlCenter could be as a result of a script that is currently running on the array and/or an issue with the Service Processor. Please see Primus solutions emc98360 & emc253282.
You may need to engage your local EMC Customer Engineer.
