There is a Host Agent for Linux that can be deployed. It has been in 5.2 for quite a while. You don't get the nice data collection policies that you get with windows, but you can install the master and host agents.
install files come with ECC cds. You have to perform a manual install from theses cds.
When host is registered in ECC, install host agent.
Then you can package this install to native package manager using /usr/ecc/exec/MLR520/package_agents.sh This way you will have Master Agent and Host Agent packaged.
