Need the current version of ECC agent for Solaris/Linux/Windows 2000/2003.
Hi All,
I need the current version of ECC agent for Solaris/Linux/Windows 2000/2003.
Please let me know if any tool is there to check the space utilization of each host connected to the storage devices like Clariion and DMX. For DMX, we have storage scope.
But we do not have ecc agents installed on all the servers.Could someone give me the command in symcli to know the host space utilisation from a centralized machine.
Advance thanks for your help.
Regards,
RK

Solaris/Linux/Windows 2000/2003.
ControlCenter agents for those platforms exist in many forms. ie. Master, Agent, Host Agent, Storage Agents, Fibre Channel Connectivity Agent, SDM Agent.
Is this question about ECC agent related to any of the specific agents above.

If you are unable to deploy host agents, then you can still get host level capacity inormation out of Storage Scope if you manually create each host in the ECC console and Associate the HBA WWN's for that host. (right-click/new/host/..)
Storage Scope will then use that information in conjuction with the masking information in the VCMDB and give you a report that shows how much Symmetrix storage is allocated to each host.
What you won't get is how that storage has been used (ie: filesystem stats) and this only works for storage on Symmetrix.
Using symcli, you could try using "symcfg list -capacity -connections"
