Hi @andrewmichel I agree with @ismail2022 that seo tools are expensive and as you are a student first try incorporate basic SEO learning to a dummy site or you can buy domain on Go daddy or any other hosting platform and try creating a one page website integrate tools like google search console, Keyword planner to make your content unique, apply seo best practice to get a hands on experience and track your web page search ranking.
For learning you can try using free version for Ahref, Keyworddit, google trends, Google SERP Snippet optimizer tool, SEmoz free version, Yoast SEO / Plugin, Google analytics, SEMrush and the list goes on.
I will just suggest to try use there free versions first get hang of the tool compare the tools and there outputs then take a call for paid version depending on your comfort.
Hope it helps, let me know if you need any further information.
Happy learning

According to my opinion if you are student you dont need any paid tools
only use free tools or if tools need is very impotent then you SEO GROUP BUY services or Group Buy Seo Tools Services they give you so many tools in cheap price
Thanks

If you're serious about studying SEO, then you need to have Google Search Console in your toolkit. This free tool from Google lets you see how your site is performing in the search results, and it provides valuable insights that can help you improve your ranking. You need to know how it works! This tool helps you to find how your website is working in SERP. To get some data, you have to add your website in it so after analysis, it shows data.

4. Screaming Frog
Screaming Frog is a great tool for auditing your website. I use this tool on daily basis. It's especially helpful for students because it's free for up to 500 URLs. That means you can use it to audit your own site, as well as your competitor's sites. If you have complex website having many pages on it just like ecommerce business, if you want to get data for that website having many pages, you need to buy license for it.
5. Google Analytics
Google Analytics is another essential tool for SEO students. It lets you track your website's traffic and see where it's coming from. That information can be invaluable for optimizing your site and your SEO strategies. You can find, how many people visited on your website and from which regions they are visiting. At which time, most of the traffic come. You can get free google analytics certifications too.
6. Ahrefs
Ahrefs is a powerhouse of an SEO tool. It has a ton of features that can help you with everything from keyword research to competitor analysis. And it's not just for students - even seasoned SEO professionals use Ahrefs on a daily basis. For now, they have increased their prices a lot as what I guess, a student can't afford it. It is usually famous for it's backlink database.
7. SEMrush
SEMrush is another all-in-one SEO tool that's popular with students and professionals alike. It has a ton of features that can help you with your SEO studies, including keyword research, competitor analysis, and site audits.
8. BuzzSumo
BuzzSumo is a great tool for content research. It lets you see the most popular content on any given topic, which can be helpful for finding content ideas and understanding what's resonating with your audience.
9. Google Trends
Google Trends is a great way to stay up-to-date on the latest trends in your industry. You can use it to see what topics are popular, and you can even set up alerts to be notified when new trends emerge.
10. Hootsuite Insights
Hootsuite Insights is a great tool for social media monitoring. You can use it to track your brand mentions, see what people are saying about your competitors, and more.
