Built-in\Administrator still not enough for SupperAssist
I can't figure this out, I have a few pcs I work with (IT Administrator) where they absolutely refuse to function and giving me a "Not all SupportAssist features are enabled" message whenever I run the software.
It says Only a user with administrator rights can use these features. Apparently the Built-in\Administrator account isn't enough for it. I originally tried to run with my System Administrator domain access and that prevented it so I delved deeper and eventually got to the point of using the Built-in\Administrator account and that still is not good enough.
So how do I manage to fix this, this was all done on one computer but I know I have a few other computers out there that have this same issue. Meanwhile other computers, some with expired warranties, function without issue.
I don't get it, what can I do to get this sorted out?

I'm seeing the same thing even though I run it as administrator from the CMD prompt.
The strange thing is that this comes up when Support Assist has worked before.
And I have tried to reinstall it several times also!
Error:
"Not all Support Assist features are enabled
Some features in SupportAssist are designed to make changes to keep your PC up to date, optimize performace, and in some cases, remove viruses and maleware. Only a user with administrator rights can use these features. Either sign in using an administrator account or contact your system administrator."

I’ve got the same problem, for weeks now. I even created a shortcut (on the desktop) pointing to the executable ["C:\Program Files\Dell\SupportAssistAgent\bin\SupportAssistUI.exe" launch] and then force it to run as admin (my account is THE admin on the box - and doesn’t work - although previous versions for years have!). Of course, Ive uninstalled SupportAssist a few times and have installed the latest version (3.2.1.94) Dell can you please chime in here please?

Hi Bradleyjs2,
Thanks for posting. Apologies that your copy of SupportAssist is not performing as expected.
When you first downloaded and installed SA did you do it from an administrator account? If so, then maybe try uninstalling it using a third party uninstaller, making sure you have all instances removed from the computer (some users reported up to 3 instances running on their systems) then reinstalling from this link:

If you still require assistance and the system is under warranty, you may contact me privately. Be sure to include your personal information (name, address, telephone, email) and your computer's service tag number in your message. Thanks.
If there is no warranty, then you could contact our Out of Warranty team to get a quote for a paid service request. http://dell.to/1vnT6CQ

Dell-Robert P,
Thanks for getting back to me so soon - I really appreciate it. It’s now working as designed on my Area 51 R5. I did uninstall all versions using a 3rd party tool (Revo Uninstaller Pro 4; which I’ve owned for a year+ now) per your recommendation. Additionally, the only account that I use is a member of the Admin Group; so I’m always performing tasks as an Administrator.
However, the real problem is that I use Microsoft’s Remote Desktop (RD) Client app (on my iPad Pro) and for some reason it no longer seems to be in full admin mode; although all other tools work properly (SupportAssist worked fine several months ago via RD BTW.). It appears that the admin mode credentials are no longer being inherited along the pipeline.
So, from now on, I will run SupportAssist directly from the computer, no problem.
Thanks!
