Dell support Assist does not connect online
Hi all!
I am recently struggling with the Support assist application. I had to reinstall it (it took me a little but I managed) but since then I cannot access the online tools from www.dell.com/support. The web page does not find at all the Support Assist app installed on my laptop. Since this 'connection' is missing, I can't optimize my system nor install drivers. It is getting very frustrating to solve this simple issue.....! Has anyone had a similar experience?
I'm running Windows 10 on an Inspiron 15 5568.
The Support Assist version is 2.0.6875.668. Coulnd't find Support Assist Agent on my PC, not even after the manual download and installation from dell webpage.
Any help is extremely appreciated!

I'm having the same problem, the SupportAssist icon has disappeared from my desktop, not able to reinstall after reboot. Have tried to download from Dell Support and get the following message : The requested operation requires elevation.
Would be very grateful for a solution.
OS: Windows 10 on Precision 7710
Update:
Thought I'd try a different path.
Went to Control Panel uninstalled Dell SupportAssist, then installed the updated version.
Now all seems to be working normally.

After finding that my Support Assist would stop responding after opening it, I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall the updated version from the website. Unfortunately I get a message that the Installation is Canceled because it can't detect my internet connection even though I am posting this online right now with my internet connection.
