I am on Windows 11 Pro, having the same problem since over two weeks, I get prompted to update the Support Assist, but when I click on Continue, it gives me the same error. Dell team, any resolution to this issue?

Hi Lone Maverick / Artcominc / Chris-King:
When you try to update / install SupportAssist does the error message say "failed to download .NET Framework resource file" as gadix reported in their original 15-May-2022 post <above>, or does the error message say something like "failed to download .NET Runtime resource file"?
This thread is over a year old and the system requirements posted <.> in the release notes for the current SupportAssist v3.12.3.5 (rel. 11-Oct-2022) are now very different, including the requirement for both .NET Framework v4.7.x and .NET Runtime v6.0.x (a new requirement for SupportAssist v3.12.3.5). Dell employee DELL-Nathalia M's posted instructions for installing SupportAssist v3.12.3.5 on 19-Oct-2022 in Michael.Strachan's Dell Support Assist Fails to Install that seems to have worked for some users. If you want to try those instructions and run into problems I've posted a few hints <here>.
If DELL-Nathalia M's instructions don't solve your problem it would be best if you started a new topic here in this SupportAssist for PCs board. Please include your Dell computer model, Windows OS [if Win 10 or Win 11 let us know your edition (e.g., Home, Pro, etc.), version and OS build number shown at Settings | System | About | Windows Specifications], your antivirus, and which versions of Microsoft .NET Runtime are listed at Control Panel | Programs | Programs and Features. It would also be helpful to know the exact error message you see when you try to update / install SupportAssist, and any steps you've taken so far to try and fix the problem.

My Dell Inspiron 20 Model 3048 has version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.1165) and it will not install SupportAssist. I've been trying for over an hour, but getting the same message: "unable to download .NET framework/Core resource files. I am thoroughly and consistently connected to the Internet.

Hi frank14612:
Do you know why your Windows 10 OS is still at v20H2 and hasn't updated since KB5005033 (OS Build 19042.1165) was released on 10-Aug-2021? If you have a Home or Pro edition of Windows 10 then the MS support article at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-health/status-windows-10-20h2 notes that v20H2 is no longer supported by Microsoft:
