ACOFW and VMAX enginuity 5875

I would like to know if TF/Snap Async copy on first write (ACOFW) is supported for thin devices on a VMAX with 5875 code and how is performance impacted if both the source and target (VDEVs) are written to simultaneously.

I am trying to move away from a clone to a snap design if ACOFW can provide good performance without a COFW penalty for my nightly batch job - both the source STD dev and target (VDEV) would be written to simultaneously.

Hi Ashish,

Iits supported from 5773 Q1,10 release and higher (5875 ofcourse).. Also if I am right, ACOFW is only for writes on source device. If you are writing to target devices, it will still use sync COFW and pay COFW penalty..
