How to connect to SP of VMAX.
VMAX SP is connected to an VLAN and i have win2k8 server in the same vlan. but i couldnt telnet on 9519 port.
what are the tools to connect to SP. Since i am remote to VMAX array i cant login to SP local admin account.
Any suggestions or tools i can download?

I would suggest you to contact the local EMC field team.
They will help you out for this situation.

Service Processor is mainly for EMC support to troubleshoot and fixing the issues.
I dont think you will be able to access it.

I agree to this. But I need to provide EMC the connectivity to SP for them to troubleshoot.
I need to test only connectivity, rest EMC will do through webex. We don’t have ESRS at this moment.
Thanks & Regards,

We have encountered license table corruption issue. It can be fixed only by inline commands.

Exactly. I couldn’t ping or telnet as SP doesn’t allow that.

Hi Sripad, as you don't have ESRS yet, you can use WebEx as a workaround for emergency situations. Use a web browser and make sure you can connect to https:// :9519. If you get to the login prompt you need EMC to login via Secure Credentials. Kind Regards, Marcus.

You cannot directly access VMAX SP unless you are EMC authorized.
You can try two options.
1. Access SP IP with 8443 port (Unisphere access)
2. Access Vmax using Solution enabler for any configuration changes
Most of the Vmax operations you can perform using SE.

Thanks for all the suggestions. It was wrong ip set on SP. I could connect now using remotely anywhere.
