I can only check the completed state by looking at the hot spare disks.

symdisk -hotspares list

If there is no hot spare disk with hypers on it, then the sync is finished. No other way I think.

I'm not completely sure, but I think you could look at the devices that have a degraded state. i.e.

symdev -sid list -service_state degraded

This would show you how many devices you have left to rebuild. There are a couple of other options for service_state as well, that may or may not apply.

I'm not sure, but perhaps you can view the status of the SymDevs that were hit by the broken disk. I know you can see which of the hypers is missing or rebuilding and I was hoping there might be a value showing the progress of the rebuild. But pay attention: this is done PER SymDev, so if you know what SymDevs are impacted, you could monitor them all using "symdev show ".....
