I answered my own question 3 years later apparently. symcfg -sid list -tdev -detail -sg -gb Totals are at the bottom.

I'm thinking that's what I was wanting

Yup my bad... You have to use IG to for it..

symaccess -sid 1543 list devinfo -ig

symaccess -sid *** list -type storage -name -detail -v

I think you can not use -detail option in the previous command.

That command (at least for me) just lists the device count and I don't see where it lists the total capacity in the storage group.

Right...that's what I was trying to avoid. I think it would be nice if it was possible to see storage group capacity before it's associated with the host, to verify the right size & disks are going to be presented.

why do you call it as "storage group" capacity if it is before getting associated  with a host ?

what's wrong with that ? You add devices to a storage group before or after you assign them to a masking view.

using this cli command we get single storage group details, how i get the total storage group details associated with luns, masking view with initiators using cli, plz let me know the procedure to do that
