how to get Real-time performance data collection for a DMX device

Hello Guys ,

Can someone please let me know if there is anyway to get live response times (Read/Write response times) for a DMX device. We getting stcuk with many perf cases with the storage subsystem and like to know best way to get live performance data for sym devices. Any cli commands or tools?

take a look at symstat (included with solutions enabler) or maybe look at purchasing SPA

The best way to get response time is from the host utilities (iostat,sar, perfmon,RMF,etc) connected to the Symmetrix.

Symstat doesn't report response times. 

STP data will give response times, but minimum collection interval is 1 minute, not really "real time".

do you have WLA/performance manager? if yes , you can get  the SPA free which can get the real time data.
