Can't start Hyper-V virtual on R710 using Server 2012 R2

I have multiple R710 servers that are Hyper-V virtual hosts and running fine but I have one server that I can install Hyper-V on it and create a virtual but I can't start it.  I have all Windows Server 2012 R2 updates installed.  I have upgraded to the latest BIOS 6.6.0.  I have upgraded to the latest PERC firmware.  The virtualization technology setting in BIOS is enabled.  The error says "Virtual machine 'SERVER1' could not be started because the hypervisor is not running."  I have gone through everything I can find to make this work but no.  I don't know why this one R710 is not working when the others do work.  Any help is appreciated.

Tom Steuver,

I would start with seeing if there is anything hardware wise on the server that isn't compatible with Hyper-V, such as processor type, etc. If you would could you Private Message me the svc tag of the non working R710, as well as a tag for a working one?
That way I can verify compatibility.

Thanks.

Chris, the service tags have been sent to you.  Thanks.

They look to be pretty evenly configured, except a couple only have a single proc where the others have 2.

Try the following and let me know if it resolves the issue at all.

Run the following command on the Hyper-V server:

bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype Auto

Then reboot the Hyper-V server.

Does that allow it to start?

Any other ideas why I can't start Hyper-V servers on this box?
