Check this if you get Unrecognized Instrumentation or Unclassified systems
I dont think Ive seen this solution mentioned here so thought I would share...
Some Server Admin installs worked fine, fully instrumented, green tick etc
Some I got 'instrumentation not recognized' some would come up 'unclassified' but would let me view basic info via DMI or via SNMP (the latter with just discovered a 'MIB-2' mib but no Dell mibs)
1) You should have SNMP service installed and running before installing Server Admin. ( For NT4 : After installing SNMP reapply your NT SP , or you can just extract snmp*.dll and snmp.exe from the SP which is a lot quicker/safer.)
2) Regedit, check HKLM\System\CCS\Services\SNMP\Parameters\ExtensionAgents key
make sure you have keys in here for "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\RFC1156Agent\CurrentVersion"
and also for "SOFTWARE\Dell Computer Corporation\Dell OMSA\SNMP Agent\CurrentVersion"
Create them if they are not there (use a machine that does work as a template).
Then check the keys that these point to in HKLM\Software\MS\RFC1156Agent\CurrentVersion and HKLM\SOFTWARE\Dell Computer Corporation\Dell OMSA\SNMP Agent\CurrentVersion. These
point to inetmib1.dll and dcsnmp32.dll respectively. Check that these files exist.
I had some servers missing one or both of the registry keys in 2) and after creating the keys all is tickety-boo.
Good Luck..
