Your options to reset the CMC would be to either physically go to the chassis and use the front panel to select the option to reset the configuration, or to directly connect to the CMC without any switching between your workstation and the CMC. The second option would only work if you know the IP address and are certain that the VLAN tag doesn't have any typos.
As for accessing the CMC after assigning a VLAN, there's not much to do. The CMC would need to have the VLAN tag entered, but that's all. The GUI has the tools to set that up, but I tend to use an SSH session. I'll leave the commands below.
