Dell OpenManage Enterprise and Power Manager plugin issue

Hello,

I've been struggling with this one for a while.  Nationwide, I have a mix of (84) 14G servers, both T440 / R640, that I've been trying to get the Power Manager plug in to monitor within OME.  Of the 84 servers, I can only see and monitor 13 of them.  All servers are in OME via their iDRAC only and are a mix of Vmware and Windows. All of the server firmware are relatively updated, May 2021, and as a result of using firmware baselines, all like models are at the same versions.

I've added all of the 14G server to a static group and have refreshed the device inventory (many times), and have added that static group to the Power Manager plugin.  Whether I do the single static group, static groups based on model, or try adding individual devices, I only see the 13 servers as an option.  I've had this issue since the release of Power Manager 1.x, and about 3-4 OME versions.

Currently I'm at, Dell OME v3.8.0.35, and Power Manager plugin v 2.0.0.387, which was all installed today.

In a last ditch attempt, after the last Power Manager plugin was updated, I've removed the plugin and have re-added it.

I can not figure out why I can only see 13 of my 84, 14g servers, let alone why I can't see the 10 13g servers that are expected to be decommissioned later this year.

Hello Chris,

Considering the scale of the issue, I would recommend contacting support. Speaking generally, a lot of these issues tend to turn out to be networking related. With there being 71 affected systems from the sound of it, I a phone support engagement would be the best route to identifying and correcting the issue(s).

Hello Chris,

Following may be the reason for certain servers are not being listed.

Could you please check whether those 71 servers have required "OpenManage Enterprise Advanced license" installed & valid (you may run "License report" from Monitor -> Reports page for consolidated list of licenses from all servers)

If those 71 servers have proper license, then would recommend 2 steps 1. Re-discover those 71 servers. 2. Refresh the capabilities.
