Forward SNMP-trap from IT-Assistant to NNM-Openview

Hi.

Im trying to forward alert events to HP-Openview-NNM.
Which is working just fine.
But when im looking at the trap the OID is:
1.3..6.1.4.1.674.10900
The MIB im using (was implemented before our installation of IT-Assistant and instead used HP-SIM(System Insight Manager) which worked just fine) is the 10892-MIB, which is similar. It seems as if IT-Assistant is wrapping the trap and uses its own OID.
Does anybody had a similar problem or know the MIB to download.

ITA wraps the forwarded traps with it's own OIDs. The original message, system and severity (according to ITA database) is available as varbinds of trap forwarded by ITA. I think the Systems Management CD contains the ITA mib. U might find it usefull if you are forwarding the traps

Can you please explain the course of action by which you went about to perform this? We have Dell ITA on a Windows box, which I can set up SNMP to forward traps to a specific IP. Our intended destination is a Nagios monitoring host. What steps did you go through to configure your host to accept the generated traps? Much thanks! -Rich

In ITA you will need to configure an Alert Action Filter to match the traps that you want to forward.

Then create an Alert Action of type Trap Forwarding. Provide the address of Nagios host as the trap forwarding destination. Associate it with the filter that you created.

Set up the the Nagios system to allow traps from ITA system.
