I'm a complete idiot! I have been connecting to it the whole time!!
I have been looking at the log in (which is to the web server on my local pc) and not at the root path of the CIM Settings that I'm trying to fix! I connect to OMCC locally but that allows me to remotely manage whichever PC I right clicked on in the first place.
OK Now I get it...
Still wondering then why my tasks wouldn't allow me to make any changes. I had to go in via OMCC to make the change (such as HDD Threshold and Chassis Intrusion setting)
Yes I just changed it to start inder the Domain Administrator account. I'm going to try starting it under the Domain CIMUser account and sse if that works.
It says the name of the PC with ITassistant/OMCC installed in the top left but you are still looking at the CIM data from the PC you right clicked on... very confusing indeed.

Do you have the "Client Connector Administrator" Service on the server running under an account that has admin rights on the workstation(s)?
