How to run OMSA CLI commands? "the command is not recognised" when I type omconfig or omhelp from Windows command prompt
I tried reinstalling OMSA 8.1 Managed Node on my server and whilest I can successfully connect with a web browser, I can't figure a way to run CLI commands. I open Windows command prompt (also tried powershell), when I type omconfig or omhelp it simply says "command not recognised", I also checked all Dell folders and cannot even find any file called omconfig. Please help, it's a matter of life and dealth!

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I am assuming that you have installed the OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) along with selected "Command line interface" feature.
If you are installing OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) on an unsupported system, the installer displays only the “Server Administrator Web Server” option.
If It does not help, then could you please provide more details on this query to check further on this?
Confirm that you are installing OMSA on any supported server, and not on a VM or a client systems (such as Laptop) for CLI feature. Please mention which server you are installing OMSA.
Out of the 4 DSM SA* services of OMSA how many are installed and running on your system where the OMSA is installed?.

Hi Puneet,
Many thanks for answering my query.
I need to use OMSA CLI from a Windows Server. During installation I only have Web Server option, which according to your reply assumes that CLI is unsupported?
My environment is an ESXI 6.0 server and a Win2008R2 VM. I installed VIBs inside ESXI and after installation of OMSA on Win2008 I can connect successfully and monitor my server using web browser.
The reason I need CLI commands is to be able to change the "learn cycle" on H700 controller from "Enable" to "Warn". This is something I cannot do with web interface it seems. I need to do it because the server crashes every time when "learn cycle" discharges the RAID controller battery. I know it's not supposed to harm the server, only change the cache mode to Write-Through, but it crashes the server completely. And I have to call the datacentre to manually reboot it whenever that "learn cycle" happens. According to this article it can only be changed using OMSA CLI. Unless you know of any other way?
