How to update with the latest firmware?

I have R*20, R*30, and R*40 servers. I notice the newer releases of BIOS, firmware, etc. no longer have .exe windows format. I've been uploading .exe from iDRAC to update them but it looks like the latest version have only .efi and .bin. What's the best way to update remotely?

Thank you.

What server models are you running into this on? I ask because I checked with the R740, R630, and R520. They all still gave me an .EXE file, you just have to make sure that a Windows OS is in the operating system field. But, if that's not what you're seeing for certain models, I'd like to check those on my side, too.

Hi Dylan,

Thanks for the reply. For example, I am currently looking for the latest BIOS for an R720. I went to https://www.dell.com/support and enter the service tag. I then select for BIOS and click on full driver details which leads me to https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=dyh8t&oscode=rhe70&productcode=poweredge-r720. The only available options are .efi and .bin. This not only happens to R720 but also other (later) models.

thanks,

Please check the link below and let me know if you see the .EXE. It should be the very first download option. I'm reading the URL you're sharing and it looks like you have a Linux OS selected, not a Windows one. That's probably the issue.
