IT Assistant domain login feature (SSO) issue

Question

Hi, I've just completed a fresh installation of IT assistant, 7.1.0. We have a single AD domain. I am a domain administrator. I read the documentation (Ensuring a Secure Dell OpenManage IT Assistant Installation) regarding Single Sign-On. I made the suggested changes in my browser (specify Automatic Logon using current username and password for the zone the server resides in), and still, when I use the shortcut provided in the documentation Example: https://localhost:2607/?authType=ntlm&application=ita It prompts me for the username and password, then after a couple of retries, brings me to the login screen anyway. Has anyone else here had that feature work, and if so, what was the proper configuration of your browser? There is no firewall between the IT Assistant server and my browser. Thanks for any insights! I have the same problem. Strangely though everything worked fine in my test environment, but my production domain installation just won't work.

I did find this URL works though:

https://server:2607/?authType=ntlm&application=ita&locallogin=true

The server is not a DC, so I was very suprised this worked at all!

I logged a call with Dell who were unable to resolve it and suggested paying for one of their engineers to do a site visit.

I'd be interested to see if you find a proper solution.

I tried the local logon myself after I read your post, and sure enough, it worked! This is not a DC either, and it appears to be opposing what the documentation reads. That's the last time I'll ever RT*M!:smileyvery-happy:
