There are several good bootable usb builders (like UNetbootin and Bootsage) that I've used to create bootable winxp and win7 bootable usb drives. I would assume you could just make a usb bootable and use the DVD iso from image direct the same as you would use a CD/DVD iso from Windows. I'm in the process of testing this with our new win7 image. I'll repost if I'm successful. Please let me know if you make any progress too. Thanks
The DVD generated by imagedirect is already a WINPE disc for WIN7 images ( and WinXP recently). You can mount all the DVD images and copy all the files to a USB stick and boot to start the build. That works pretty well.
The only issue here is that the WINPE images used in WinXP build is hardcoded to use DVD drive only , which I do not want to modify the vbscript within the WINPE boot.wim file.

Can dell provide detail instruction on how to do this using usb instead of burning multiple cd/dvd's?
