Lifecycle Controller update from very old version
I have an R710 with very old Lifecycle Controller firmware version 1.1.0.165.
I already updated DRAC to 1.97.
I want to update the LC to 1.6.5.12 and want to make sure I am following the safest process.
Can I update directly to 1.6.5.12 or do I need to install an intermediary version?
When running the 1.6.5.12 .BIN file I am seeing the following which makes me question as In OMSA I can see that the old version is installed.
In OMSA:
Lifecycle Controller 1.1.0.165
Output when running the 1.6.5.12 .BIN:
No version of this Update Package is currently installed.
Software application name: Tools
Package version: 1.6.5.12
Continue? Y/N:
| Lifecycle Controller | 1.1.0.165 |
No Events found!

Hi Cameron,
Thanks for your post.
There is no need to update to a intermediary version. You can directly update to version 1.6.5.12.
And regarding your concern where OMSA is showing Lifecycle Controller version 1.1.0.165 is because OMSA has the capability to collect the information about the LifeCycle controller software even if the LC is not configured.
And when you run the .BIN and it shows "No Version is currently installed" is because if you run that LifeCycle .BIN for the first time it shows that message.
Please let me know if you need more info.
Thanks
