OMSA 8.3 Doesn't see MD1400

I've got OMSA 8.3.0 installed on CentOS 7.2

There is an MD1400 array attached to the server but it's not being detected.

  I can see the SAS9300-8e card and firmware but no enclosures.

Any suggestions no what to look at or do to resolve the issue ?

Hello, Thanks for your post. OMSA doesn't show enclosures which are not connected via Dell PowerEdge RAID Controller(PERC).

Request you to share the full configuration details(controllers and enclosures) of this system and  provide the dcomsm.log so that we can analyze the issue with  your system.

Procedure to collect the log

Steps to collect dcomsm.log file:

  1. Stop Data Manager Service   (./srvadmin-services.sh stop)

  2. Go to /opt/dell/srvadmin/etc/srvadmin-storage  and open stsvc.ini file.

  3. Change "Debug=Off" to "Debug=On"

  4. Change all the debug levels from "DebugLevels=0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0" to "DebugLevels=3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3"

  5. Start Data Manager Service  (srvadmin-services.sh start)

  6. dcomsm.log file will be generated at /opt/dell/srvadmin/var/log/openmanage location.

Hi Sahill,

  A friend pointed me at http://www.dell.com/support/home/uk/en/ukbsdt1/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=CDYRH

which helped, however the CentOS 7 version refused to install on CentOS 7.2.

I did get then CentOS 6 version to install though with a bit of tweaking.

No Events found!
