OMSA does not work on Ubuntu 14
Used OMSA for years on Windows servers. Installed on Ubuntu for the first time, it does nothing. There is no data, it's like it's running on air. Nothing in the chassis, no storage, nothing. Nothing reported at command line with omreport either. My only guess is that there is something critical missing from the install package that is also missing from the instructions. Considering the instructions tell you about all these command line functions that don't exist, and eventually if you Google long enough you find it's because Dell put the commands in their own directory instead of a system binary location, and didn't add a system path..... so what else is missing to actually get it to work and actually report on and be able to manage the system?

Hi,
What version of OMSA are you using? Did you use the Ubuntu repository to install it? http://linux.dell.com/repo/community/ubuntu/

Yes I used those instructions to install. I believe therefore it installed 8.4 as the latest because 8.5 wasn't put out for linux?
Also, be great if we didn't have to play a browser game picking cars for a full minute to post replies... any chance of getting that removed for something not maddening to prove I'm not a robot?
