OSMA 7 - No Storage Controllers Detected

Just upgraded to OSMA 7.0

When I launch Server Administrator, and try to view the storage info, nothing is displayed in the tree. The only data I see when clicking on storage is:

"No storage controllers detected."

This is a PowerEdge 2900 Server, Windows 2003 SBS. The storage controller is a PERC6I-INT.

Is this controller not supported by OSMA 7.0? Is there a document outlining which storage cards are supported by OSMA 7.0?

Thanks

This should work just fine. Check your Services, look for 4 services that start with DSM, data manager, connection service , event manager and shared services. if these are stopped, manually start them and watch them for 5 minutes to be sure they dont stop. if they do stop, let us know which one stops and after how long.

These 4 services were already started (set to automatic) and I haven't seen them stop or seen anything in the event logs showing that they ever stopped.

Thanks

Same problem here different Hardware.  Brand new R10, 1 H700, 2 H800 controllsers all on firmware 12.10.3-0001.  Attempt to view information  in Openmanage and recieve No storage Controllers Detected.    Dont think the issues are related only to the Storage Controllers though.  Overall It seems as Openmanage doesnt report much inforamtion at all on any of the options.  System, MainChassis, Operating System and Storage are the only items listed on the left and none have any real information in them.

After a reboot everything is displaying correctly and workign fine but this has happened twice now.  I would really like to have a fix for this before deploying this server into production.

I am having the same issue on two R910 servers. Two other R910 work fine without any issues. On these two other servers I am having problems with nothing working correctly.

In the messages I see the following:

kernel: dsm_sa_eventmgr[4098]: segfault at 00000038c9c9a360 rip 00000038c9c9a360 rsp 00000000418700f8 err

or 14

I'm going to try re-installing OM 6.5 and see what that does. Rebooting should not be the only option to fix this issue.

I am running RHEL 5.5 if it helps on the R910.

I fixed my issue. It appears that NRPE which is used for Nagios was causing all of my semaphores to fill up. OM couldn't start up because of this. After I killed the hung Nagios semaphores everything worked. Not sure if this will help anyone else but this fixed my problem.
