Hi Ansite,

Thanks for your post,

Please check this procedure, hope this will resolve your issue.

  1. After installing the OMSA check whether the Data manager services(DSM) running properly in services.msc
  2. Launch OMSA use IE 8, 9 or 10
  3. By using the Operating system IP try to launch the OMSA outside the network by https:// :1311
  4. If above steps not resolved your problem,Please try to install Win2012 R2 with OS build 9477

Thanks,

Venkatesan K

When you login, does it just come right back to the login prompt or does it actaully say "login failed".  If it just comes back, I ran into that too where once I updated to OMSA 7.3 it no longer accepted special characters in my passwords.  Try logging in with an account that doesn't have a special character or change your password and see if that does it.  It's not a pretty fix but Dell doens't seem to really acknowledge the issue.

Hey Jack,

Yes it just returns to the login screen and the password I have does have special characters.

Sounds like you nailed it.  I will have to install it again and try.

thanks for the tip

FYI, Dell released a patch to 7.3.0.1 and this issue appears to have been fixed!
