OpenManage 9.5 timing out on connection to host
I have two R520 Power edge servers that are running Windos Server2012 r2.
Recently the OMSA stopped working completely on both servers. the connection times out when the session is launched on browser.
Thing I tired:
using different 3 browsers
launching the session in http and https
reinstalling the OMSA and reinstalling it using Admin Rights.
nothing has worked so far for me.
any advise will highly be appreciated.

Hi,
Can I know if OMSA 9.5 was working before, as you mentioned recently stopped working, have you tried installing OMSA 9.4? If you would like to try, use OMSA 9.5 installer to uninstall OMSA 9.5 (there should be an option to uninstall when you launch the installer). Then try installing OMSA 9.4.
Have you tried restarting the OMSA services? https://dell.to/38HyjXy.
You mentioned using 3 different browsers, are they in the host itself or remotely? Is the server's OMSA IP pingable?

Hi @danialz
Did you check if OpenManage services are up and running ?? These are the services
dcstor64,Server Administrator,dcevt64 , Please use this command "sc query serviceName" to check the status.

I can't seem to find the 9.4 version. Do you have a link that you can provide please?
I tired restarting all the services, but not luck.
I tired to access the OMSA from the host itself. The server's OMSA IP is also pingable.

Hi,
By mentioning you said the connection times out, are you able to access till OMSA login page or after logging in, then it times out? Can you screenshot the error page?
Are you able to access OMSA from remotely? When was the last working version of OMSA?

Hi,
Your initial post, mentioning recently OMSA stopped working, was it working before at version 9.4 or 9.5? What was the changes that lead to it time out launching OMSA? Do you have a screenshot of the page that you are seeing?
Have you tried checking OMSA logs at C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\apache-tomcat\logs? Alternative, are you able to boot into Dell LiveCD to try launching OMSA to troubleshoot the issue?
Have you checked the firewall connection of the system? Have you tried accessing OMSA using https://localhost:1311?
