R420 part number for LCD display

I have an OOW R420 where the LCD is so dim I can barely read it.  I have replaced countless of these on earlier generation Dell servers - it's surprising that they continue to have this issue.  I'd like to replace just the minimum hardware to solve this problem and I cannot find a part number anywhere. Sorry - probably should have posted this under hardware - I don't see a way to move it now.

Dvanaken,

Have you tried reseating the cable connection on the LCD to see if it resolves the issue?

If so then it does likely have an issue.

The LCD part will vary depending on the model of R420 you are using. If the server takes 4 drives it would be part # C20T6, if the server takes 8 drives the it would be part # P64M9. Neither of these will be available through the dell.com page, but you should be able to order from your sales rep, or through Spare Parts at 800-357-5577.

Let me know if this helps.

Chris-  Thank you.  This is a production server so I need to find some off-hours time to check the cable.  I suspect it's the display, however.  I'll check with my sales rep once I am sure I need one.  Why do these displays fail?  It happened to my 2850s and 1950s as well after a year or two.   And they're quite expensive if OOW.
