R740 Unable to update firmware via Lifecycle Controller
We have a number of R740 that we want to upgrade to the latest firmware via the Lifecycle console, out of the 5 we have 3 work but 2 don't work. The controller nics all share the same switch infrastructure and are all setup correct. I have even tried to swap a non working nic with a working one and even used the same IP address but it still does not work. I have upgraded iDRAC to 5.00.10.00 on all servers.

It fails and cannot connect, using the first option I have also tried https and downloads.dell.com and also used the IP for the address as well, none of which work although the IP address does take longer to fail. Unfortunately I am unable to use the LAN cable from a working server as we cant have two servers down in the VMware cluster at the same time. I have used one of the working IP addresses on one of the ones that don't work and we still get the same results in that the sites cant be found

We need more info please. Where does it actually fail, during the update, does it start the update, does it show the list of items it can update, is it not connecting to the support site? Can you try moving the network cables from a working system to the non-working system, but leave them attached to the same switch ports?
