Remote Server Monitoring
I am trying to monitor all of my servers from our IS office. I would like to know if Dell Open Manage is able to be installed on a workstation so I can look at the different servers whenever I like, without having to physically go to the server room. Is this possible or do I have to look for third party software in order to accomplish this task? Thank you in advance for any help and information.

Hi Erick,
You can use Open Manage IT assistant to monitor your servers on your network. You will put ita on one machine, and on the servers that you want to monitor you will put server administrator on it. You will need to configure snmp before you install either one of the open manage products.
With IT assistant you will be able to monitor your Dell servers, workstations, desktops, kvm's, switches, and laptops. You can recieve email alerts and or pages about the system that you are monitoring.
The latest version of IT assistant that you would need will be IT assistant 6.5.
