RyanLaker,

Thank you for letting us know, we are in the process of rectifying the issue. In the mean time if you follow these steps it should work for you.

Use Resolution Manager to extract the suu to directory
Download the online SUU at https://dell.to/3cH1PeV
Copy the /bin folder from the online downloaded SUU to the extracted SUUs folder.

Essentially the first folder in both SUUs is the bin folder and we need the online one to be put in the offline one you extracted.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the quick response.

After clicking the link and entering the service tag I can't seem to find where the download is for the online SUU.

Are you able to provide some more clarification on this.

Thanks,

Ryan.

Same thing happened to me yesterday.  The suulauncher runs, starts to collect the inventory of the current server, gets about 60% done and then the error messages pops up:

This workaround fixed it for me.  I am hoping there is a permanent fix for the Repository Manager and SUU creation soon.

Thanks!

Hi Kusey,

Are you able to help me out on where you found the SUU download. I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Thanks

You would find it on the support . dell page, under System Mgmt section of the downloads for your specific server model.

@Ryan - I always type in the service/asset tag number of the server.  Or can you can just type in the model.

@ Chris - Found another issue where the Repository is creating/downloading the 5.0 version of the OS Collector for Windows 2012 R2 servers.  This version of the OS Collector is only compatible with Windows Server 2016 and 2019.  I believe the last version that works with Windows 2012 R2 is 4.0.

Can you look in to this one as well?

Thank you!

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your detailed input on this failure.

Fixes are available with the latest catalog (released on 24th April 2020) on Dell official web portal.

Thanks

Praveen

Praveen,

Did the fixes include and updated version of the OS Collector 5.0 for Windows 2012 R2?  If so then I will try and run it on one of our servers.

Thank you and let us know,

Keith

PowerEdge R630 and R640; Windows 2012 R2

I am using OpenManage Essentials and Dell Repository Manager to manage the firmware and drivers on all of our PowerEdge servers.  The latest catalog expects the OS Collector on our Windows 2012 R2 servers to be at version 5.0 when the Dell support website states its not compatible.

Any more information you can give on this would be great.  Haven't heard back from you guys in a couple of weeks now.

Thank you.

Hi Kusey,

Sorry about the delay. Please use the latest Diagnostics_Application_JCJR3_WN64_5.0_A00_02.exe build, which worked well in our environment.  please let us know if you have any queries.

thanks

Praveen.
