Using ITA 7--Can you create System Alert for 'alertSystemUp ?'

I'm a newbie to the Dell IT Assistant software.  I see how you can setup filters and link alerts to them...   I was going to try and create an alert for the and I cannot figure out how to do it, since you can create filters only for normal-critical status.   The idea is to have an alert sent out once a server has been rebooted and is up.   I see that the information is: Alert Source Name: alertSystemUp Severity: OK Format String: $3 Enterprise OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.1 Generic Trap OID: 6 Specific Trap OID: 1001   I'll take any help you can offer! One of the limitations of ITA 7 and 8 is that you cannot associate an event action(an email for example) with a specific alert source, only a category.  In you case you would create the email action then create a new action filter, select the desired severity level then the category would be system events.  Hope this helps.

I see that the severity level goes from normal-severe.  If I monitor normal, would I receive constant messages?  What do you do if you have a notification that a server is down and would like to receive another email saying that the server that was down is now back up an running?
