iDRAC BMC Option for PowerEdge T110 II Server

Question

We operate a 2 person business, but need to travel frequently, and during those periods we operate via RDP/RDG.  Since there's no one in our office when we're gone - our office must be securely locked due to the sensitive nature of our business' data -  the server is vulnerable to shutdowns due to power failures, etc.  To that end, I'm trying to implement iDARC in order to be able to restart the server remotely. Since my T110 II has ONLY the BMC option, according to the DARC User's Guide, I won't have the luxury of a Web based GUI.  According to the guide, the chart on pg 23 indicates that BMC supports Server Power Control, but the footnote on pg  24 states that the feature is available only through IPMI, but fails to define what IPMI is and how to use it. I've opened the BMC Configuration Utility in my server's BIOS and have entered what I believe to be the necessary settings, although I'm unsure of the accuracy of many of them, and since I have no information re: IPME, I haven't a clue as to how to test them. I'd be very grateful for any assistance in this matter.

Sorry, this is me again, so this isn't a reply, but a typo correction. In the next-to-last paragraph as reads, "... and since I have not information re IPME ..." Should read IPMI, (i.e. Integrated Platform Management Interface).

I've downloaded and installed "ipmiutil" - on the server, a joined workstation and an independent network computer - but have yet to be able to make it work, nor to find any "How To" information; not from Dell, Source Forge (since IPMI is an open source project) nor anywhere else I've looked.

Can anyone tell me or point me to some IPMI "How To" information. I really need to make this work.
