Clearing the hardware log will clear inactive errors from the LCD. Active errors will be will remain. There is a memory log that is maintained by the system, there are no options I'm aware of to clear it. Clearing NVRAM via jumper may clear it. Also, if the system detects a different module in the slot it should clear the log for that slot.
