idrac6 and omsa smtp alerts?

I have a poweredge r410 with idrac6 enterprise. What i'm wanting to do is set up alerts from idrac and as well as from the openmanage server administrator i have installed. Not sure on the best way to go about doing this, i have an exchange server at my office that i could relay mail to, and i also have an office 365 email organization i manage that can be use too. My ISP blocks port 25, so i would assume i'd need to setup a relay to then go to one of the two? I've tried to use the ii6 smtp server following the guide on technet to send from 587, but both idrac and omsa keep erroring when trying to send out mail. I read somewhere that the from address for idrac6 is generated my the dns name and the dns domain name, is that correct?
